Senior Speech

My name is Carlton Glenn; I am a senior at Stephenson High School. I’ve been going to this school since I was in 9th grade. I’ve been in this area mostly my whole life, I’ve been to Pine Ridge, I’ve been to Stephenson Middle School, now I’m about to finish up at the high school. Thirteen years of schooling and its all about to come to an end. I have known mostly all my classmates since elementary school, and I’m realizing that I will never see half of my senior class again. Some I will miss, some I won’t miss so much, but I will wish them well in the future. I won’t be sad after graduation, because I will know some of my classmates will be moving on with their lives, and making something of their selves. The thing I will miss most about this school is Baseball, Girls, and lifting weights that got me through all four years of high school. Class was alright, but I really had fun doing everything else the school had to offer. The people I met at this high school are real characters, and their personality really differs from different people in the school. I will miss almost all my teachers here at Stephenson, I put the emphasis on almost. But I’ve enjoyed my four years at my Stephenson, and hopefully when my little brother gets up here he enjoys Stephenson more than I did.

May 22nd: The first day of the rest of my life

On this day May 22nd, I will start my new life as a man, I will no longer be in this protective place called high school. I will no longer be living with the people I have been with my whole life. I will be on my own fending for myself,if I make a mistake i'm not going to go running to mommy and daddy, I'm going to take responsibility an handle myself like a man. I'e been waiting for graduation since I stepped foot in this school ninth grade, its been a long four years. I came into high school thinking it was going to be hard, but now when I think about it, it was kind of easy. Iblew through high school without studying too much of anything, and still made good grades. I'm starting realize I cant do that in college, I'm going to have to take the time out and actually study. Come August I'm going to have to man up and be responsible as possible. I'm going to college playing baseball, and going to school, my load is goinhg to be heavy but I think I can handle it. Come May 22nd, 2009 this boy will become a man.

Senioritis: Had it since Last year

I dont know about the rest of yall but I,ve had senioritis since last year. I know it's the last few weeks and and I'm supposed to work harder but this senioritis is really starting to kick in. I'm doing as much work as i can but its really starting to take it's toll on me. Its not even in the middle of may yet and I already got it, I hope I dont have any major assignments coming up, I'm going to do them but I'm going to procrastinate as much as possible, and get it done at the last minute. Usually when people have senioritis, they dont do any work at all, I do my work i just wait til the last minute to get my done. At the the end of the year right now, I'm lazy but I'm not stupid now, I aint trying to fail any classes. If Ms. Moore will change my grade maybe i can relax a little bit more but until that time I unfortunately I still have work in the class.

P.S. Ms. Chillis Im sorry!!

High School Friends To Remmember

These are friends that I will remember for the rest of my life. Im just thinking about May 22, our graduation day. The first day of the rest of our lives. Im going to miss all of my friends when I go off to college. We made a promise that were going to keep in touch with each other, and Im going to to live up to that promise. When we head our seperate ways I will always be thinking about them, no matter how wrapped in my life I am, If we cant get together I'll call, If our schedules dont allow us us to talk, I'll text, If they dont have text, I'll hit them up on facebook or myspace, but I will stay in touch with them some how. No matter how much arguing I've have done with them I'll still have love for them, yes Cherrelle you too, no matter how much arguing we've done I'm still gonna miss you. I'm going to miss everybody......well almost everybody.

Prom was live

I really enjoyed myself at prom, it was a night to remember. The plans before the prom that we had to go to Pappadeux's was cancelled because we didn't make it to the restaurant on time to get our reserved table. My date took a whole hour longer to get ready, but the 30 minute photshoot's at everybodies house didn't help either. We end up going to Red Lobster to eat dinner, my date ordered one of the expensive meals on the menu, but it was cool, I didnt eat anything but Chicken fingers. We got to the prom about 8:30, everyboby was just rolling in. The dancing was the best part of the prom, I alot of lap dances, and I gave alot of lap dances, I was having to much fun. After the prom me and Geoff went to Club Fuzion, The party was alright, but I wanted to head back to the prom, thats where the party was at. All in alll I enjoyed myself and i'm glad I came with friends.

High School Relationships

I wouldn't say high schoool relationships are piontless, but in the ennd your just setting your self up for failure. Most high school kids aren't ready for serious relationships, because kids play games and arent't ready for the heart break that comes with it. I hear from some of these kids at the school, saying that there in love, most of everybody at this school is 14- 18, you dont know what love is. I've heard people say I love you then they would break up the next day, and thats love, please. Most of the boys at this school say I love you to these girls because they feel obligated to do so. There are alot of girls and boys that say I love you but very few of them mean it. I know if I told a girl I loved her I'd be lying through my teeth. It's a waste of my time going out with a girl especially now if were going to go to different colleges anyway, theres no point. I'd say that 90% of high school relationships is lust not love and believe me they are totally differnt things.
