Senior Speech

My name is Carlton Glenn; I am a senior at Stephenson High School. I’ve been going to this school since I was in 9th grade. I’ve been in this area mostly my whole life, I’ve been to Pine Ridge, I’ve been to Stephenson Middle School, now I’m about to finish up at the high school. Thirteen years of schooling and its all about to come to an end. I have known mostly all my classmates since elementary school, and I’m realizing that I will never see half of my senior class again. Some I will miss, some I won’t miss so much, but I will wish them well in the future. I won’t be sad after graduation, because I will know some of my classmates will be moving on with their lives, and making something of their selves. The thing I will miss most about this school is Baseball, Girls, and lifting weights that got me through all four years of high school. Class was alright, but I really had fun doing everything else the school had to offer. The people I met at this high school are real characters, and their personality really differs from different people in the school. I will miss almost all my teachers here at Stephenson, I put the emphasis on almost. But I’ve enjoyed my four years at my Stephenson, and hopefully when my little brother gets up here he enjoys Stephenson more than I did.

May 22nd: The first day of the rest of my life

On this day May 22nd, I will start my new life as a man, I will no longer be in this protective place called high school. I will no longer be living with the people I have been with my whole life. I will be on my own fending for myself,if I make a mistake i'm not going to go running to mommy and daddy, I'm going to take responsibility an handle myself like a man. I'e been waiting for graduation since I stepped foot in this school ninth grade, its been a long four years. I came into high school thinking it was going to be hard, but now when I think about it, it was kind of easy. Iblew through high school without studying too much of anything, and still made good grades. I'm starting realize I cant do that in college, I'm going to have to take the time out and actually study. Come August I'm going to have to man up and be responsible as possible. I'm going to college playing baseball, and going to school, my load is goinhg to be heavy but I think I can handle it. Come May 22nd, 2009 this boy will become a man.
